About Equal Seven
Equal Seven Creative is a Nashville-based design studio specializing in serving artists, sync agencies, labels, and brands through branding, album packaging, and web design services.
Equal Seven is the creation of designer, creative director, and longtime musician and songwriter Nick de Partee. After touring for nearly a decade, and continuing to see first-hand how important it is for artists to present themselves with clarity, individuality, and professionalism, Nick established Equal Seven as a resource to help fellow artists gain access to high-quality design services that are often out of mind or out of reach.
About Our Founder
I grew up outside of Los Angeles and was surrounded by music and art.
Since then, I’ve spent much of my life between Portland, OR, and Nashville, TN (where I currently call home). My dad introduced me to guitar and I began writing songs around age fourteen. By the end of High School, I had also found a passion for graphic design. I began to form a passion for the intersection where these two worlds of music and art collided.
After High School, I got an Associates Degree in graphic design, then worked at a couple of small indie labels as a designer, toured with a band called Kutless (Tooth & Nail/BEC) for about eight years, and moved from Southern California to Nashville, wrote songs for Capitol CMG Publishing, spent 6 years in Portland, OR where Equal Seven began, and have NOW returned to put down roots here in Nashville along with my wife and 3 sons.
In this season, I’m so excited to be pouring my efforts into growing Equal Seven and continuing to work with an ever-growing, diverse collection of artists, sync agencies, entrepreneurs, and small businesses to help elevate their brands through design that they can be proud of.
I’d love to work with you!

“I’ve always loved indie artists, and I AM an indie artist and still release music today. I even started a band this year! (locloudmusic.com). So I am grateful that I get to serve the music community in a variety of ways.
It’s difficult being a creative, especially when doing art professionally. Providing for a family, trying to maintain enough volume of work, while still aching to deliver the most unique art possible is a tough balance. But there is nothing else I want to do, and honestly, I feel most of the time that there is nothing else I truly CAN do…”

“I don’t know that any entrepreneur’s journey is smooth haha. Mine has been full of opportunities followed by the need to grow and learn (which is typically painful) followed by seasons of enjoying a new level of work and then that cycle continues.
Every time a wall is hit, I can definitely say it typically teaches me something about myself, my business, or my clients. I have slowly learned to embrace the pain, celebrate challenges, and just do my best to trust the process.”
We love collaborating with artists and entrepreneurs who understand the value of powerful, consistent branding and digital design.
